In order for me to enjoy some of the unhealthy foods, I have to train extremely hard; I call it training dirty, or training like a (S)hero. This means heavy lifting and eating more carbs, but only around my HIIT (high-intensity interval) cardio or weight training sessions. Whether I’m training for a competition or not, I very much enjoy going to the gym daily, even if it’s only for 30 minutes to stay active and in tune with my body and muscles. This is crucial because, believe it or not, working out reduces stress and boosts happy chemicals called endorphins which creates feelings of happiness and euphoria.
So, as I said, eat, lift, and be happy!
